![]() Specially if again, it's a bunch of scripts that will eventually get deprecated ?īook of the dead was "running on a ps4 showcasing the power of HDRP", well, there features aren't in HDRP, so. Like, what is the benefit of knowing that Unity made an adapter for a third party 4D scanning and rigging company ? If anything that's something the rigging company should provide as a service. How does benefit the engine release the stuff under custom EULA ? It seems like it's not even marketing for the engine, but the third party and the portfolio of the guys developing it. In the video at one part the interviewer asks if something was done in the VFX graph, and the guy goes "no, it could be done that way but I preferred another way" EDIT: watched it again, he said that one was made in code. Was the volumetric lighting, planar reflections, line lights, wrinkle maps, subsurface scattering, microshadowing, implemented in the built in renderer ? Or they were a bunch of technical scripts in github that nobody knows if they still work or will work in the near future ? I prefer 10.4s look and feel too, but thats about all i prefer from 10.4, 12.xx beats 10 in every other way for me.Click to expand.Except they don't. The wasteland and burnt forest biomes have been removed from a12x while the devs work on RWG 3, will be moodier again once they return i would think. Maybe it's your graphics settings because A12.5 feels way darker/realistic to me. ![]() In the upcoming A13 update they're adding motion capture to enemy animations which will add a horror element we have yet to see. To me though, pre-A11 felt too cartoony and the animations/systems had a robotic feel. I find it darker, more moody than the newer, brighter graphic style which for me just doesn't fit my particular style. ![]() I feel the game to be more vsiceral in it's style, has more depth in the reality of it being a zombie apocolypse. I'm not saying the gameplay is bad because it isn't. That's just me though, and the way I like my games. The only way I can put this is, If you are a fan of Westerns, then you are familiar with Sergio Leone.įor me version 10.4 is Sergio Leone style which is real, and gritty while the new version is hollywood style westerns which has no grit, no style, no depth, and not worn. I find it darker, more moody than the newer, brighter graphic style which for me just doesn't fit my particular style, and taste. I feel version 10.4b10 to be more vsiceral in it's style, has more depth in the reality of it being a zombie apocolypse. Random Gen 1.0 is a huge improvement to warrant updating, not to mention the far better graphical features/assets. It offers way more possabilities in both features and performance, and is the reason why we have physical properties (physics). But why would they do that when Unity 5 is a far more robust engine to work with. TFP could of converted over to Unity 5 but kept the same graphical assets if they wanted to. What makes it better, though? It seems you're just nostalgically bias because of the graphics. The game just feels better in that version. I started playing the 10.4 version, and I have too admit, it's allot better for me. It is version 10.4b10 which is the version just before the Unity 5 release.
